today this planet lost a great one. vonnegut was the first author’s work i read that made me sit up straight and say, “damn, this book reading stuff is to my liking.”

    dude! yes, you shoud start with _slaughterhouse-five_. it was on that list you posted not too long ago. and it was the first “real” book i ever read. i’m currently re-reading _god bless you, mr. rosewater_ in honor of the man who opened my brain.
